Course description: General concepts of inventory management, warehousing and inventory policy, role and meaning of inventory, classification of inventory, application of A.B.C. methods in inventory management - Management by exception. Determining and monitoring the norms of goods inventories and economical purchases, inventories of goods. Design of material procurement system. Determination of maximum and minimum inventories. Purchasing and distribution logistics as part of the inventory management in transport logistics. Classification of goods by various forms of frequency of production consumption, ie sales. Classification of goods into A B C groups according to the criterion of conditions of purchase and / or sale. Calculation of the norms of the minimum stock of goods. Optimal norm determination of the goods stock. Determining and calculating stock values.
