Course description: Reasons for the development of intermodal transport. Stages, concepts and entities in the transport process. Transport Chain
/ ECMT. Terminology. Containerization and palletization. Budget pallets and forklifts. Technological characteristics of modern
transport technologies in railway transport. Commercial transport speed. Technological characteristics of modern road technologies
in road transport. Calculation of the required number of containers and pallets (QPM). Huckepack technology. Calculation of
the required number of road vehicles. Bimodal technology. Capacity calculation at container terminal (static and dynamic capacity).
Technical and technological characteristics of intermodal transport technologies on inland waterways. Planning the location
of land-based water terminals. Technical and technological characteristics of intermodal transport technologies in maritime
