| Course description: Functioning and structure of the transport system / definitions: traffic, transport, connections, intermodality, interconnectivity,
interoperability. Intermodal transport systems. Intermodal transport networks. Design and planning of intermodal networks.
Benchmarking in intermodal transport. European Transport Policy / White Paper. Factors for the development of intermodal transport.
Market conditions for the development of intermodal transport. Costs of intermodal transport. Characteristics of intermodal
technologies in land-water and air transport. Cost analysis of intermodal terminals. Optimization of land-water terminal operational
efficiency. Intermodal technologies in postal traffic. Analysis of the current state and assumptions of the development of
