Personal identification number (OIB)

OIB (osobni identifikacijski broj) or Personal Identification Number is a number used to identify natural and legal persons in the Republic of Croatia. The number is issued by the Croatian Tax Authority and is required for enrolment and/or receipt of scholarship funds.

Incoming students (Erasmus+ and CEEPUS) and teaching staff (CEEPUS only) must apply for the assignment of a personal identification number in person at the local tax authority.

The OIB number is only issued once and is valid for all future visits!

After your arrival, you can apply for the OIB number in person and collect it immediately from this local tax authority:
