Technology transfer – Sustainable Urban Mobility Boost Smart Toolbox
On January 20, 2021, a remote workshop was held along with the presentation of the upgraded Migration Pattern Analysis (MAS) platform. The mentioned upgrade is developed by Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d. The MAS platform is an integral part of the laboratory software library, and the mentioned upgrade was developed within the SUMBooST project. The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, and the City of Rijeka were partners in this project. This project aims to create a new methodological toolset that combines traditional traffic planning with modern possibilities in the field of data science with potential application in transport system planning and analysis. Those methodologies provide planning and development of the transport services based on the new data sources and their processing approaches.
The project is funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology under the “Regional Innovation Scheme 2020”.
Transferred technologies:
- New analytical module for Migration Pattern Analysis platform – SumBOOST Toolbox (city of Rijeka area) with included documentation
- SumBOOST Toolbox – documentation of approaches used in large mobile-users data-sets analytic
- Research data-set – ODM for characteristic working day and two most prominent transport modes. The data set contains more than 500,000 anonymized trip logs with the following features: start time, destination and departure sector, estimated trip duration and transport mode, length and average speed achieved by each trip, GIS layer which contains traffic grid information (shp file).
