Dragan Peraković


Dragan Perakovic

Dragan Peraković was born on April 12, 1972. In Zagreb. He attended primary and secondary school in Grubišno Polje and after enrolled in the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb. In 1995 he graduated at the same Faculty of Postal and Telecommunication Traffic.

He attended postgraduate scientific study “Technical and Technological Systems in Transport and Transportation” at the same Faculty, where in 2003 he earned an academic degree Master of Science in the field of technical sciences, field of Traffic Technology and Transportation by defending the Master’s thesis “Possibilities of implementing mobile internet in intelligent transport systems”. In 2005, he achieved a Ph. D. in a field of technical sciences, field of Technological Systems in Traffic and Transport by defending the doctoral dissertation entitled “Information distribution model for users of traffic system” at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb.

Graduated at Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences and employed as Expert Associate.

1995 - 2004


In permanent employment at the Faculty, first as Junior Assistant, then Assistant, Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer.

2004


Head of Chair for telecommunication traffic at the Department for Postal and Telecommunication Traffic.

2006


Head of Chair of ICT in Traffic Systems Management at the Department of Information and Communication Traffic.

2010


Head of the Department of Information and Communication Traffic and Head of Chair of Information and Communication System and Service Management.

2017


Elected for a Full Professor in the field of technical sciences.


Author or co-author for more than 100 scientific papers published in international journals and in proceeding of international scientific conferences and 8 chapters in scientific books.

He is a part of the Register of Researches at the MZO under the registered number 213394 (scientific field of traffic and transportation technology).

Lead editor of International Journal of Cyber-Security and Digital Forensics – IJCSDF.

Member of the Editorial Committee of International Journal of Electronics Communication and Computer Technology - IJECCT.

Mentor in over 100 final and graduate papers.

Participated in numerous scientific and professional international conferences, held 3 invited lectures and personally presented most of the papers and research results.

Dragan Peraković is a member of Croatian Chamber of Traffic and Transport Technologies (member of Supervising Board and the chairman of professional class of engineers of postal and information and communication traffic), Croatian Association of Engineers and Engineers of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb (AMAC – FSC).
In other professional activities, he has been a head of Centar for ICT at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences and has been an associate of the Department of Traffic Accident Expertise in solving tasks in the fields of expertise and consulting in information and communication traffic. He is continually improving in Republic of Croatia and abroad in above mentioned field of interest. Ha has several certificates in the field of information security and forensic. He is a fluid English speaker.
Currently, he is a member of the Council of Technical Fields of University of Zagreb for the field of technical sciences – mechanical engineering, naval architecture, traffic technology and transport, aeronautics. He is a member (and a secretary) of the Committee for Postal and Telecommunication Traffic of Scientific Council for Traffic of Croatian Academy for Science and Art. He is also a member of international associations:
