The equipment that we need for the implementation of the QoE4VR project is now with us for a couple of days. We can report that we are working very hard on playing the games, using VR applications and exploring which content can we use in the survey of user QoE. This was so immersive experience for us that we completely forgot to inform you that we have also created our little Play Area (as it is called in the HTC Vive room setup software).
For now, we are not able to dedicate an entire room for this purpose (in the future we plan to establish a Multimedia Lab here at our Faculty), so we decided to go ahead anyway and create the Play Area in our office. This meant clearing out the clutter that has been accumulating over the weeks, months (and let’s face it – years). Here you can see a couple of before and after shots.
Our Play Area covers the area of about 4 square meters and it is sufficiently large for most applications that we have been using so far.
