On October 28, 2022, in Pula, as part of the 2nd International Conference Public Transport & Smart Mobility, the Faculty of Transport Sciences held a presentation of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Boost Smart Toolbox Upgrade project. SUMBooST is supported by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.
The goal of the SUMBooST project was to create a new methodological framework, i.e. a tool that traditionally combines engineering with new possibilities of data science, applicable in the analysis and planning of the transport system. The SUMBooST resulted in a SUMBooST Toolbox as a combination of guidelines and software modules.
The event was attended by representatives of the city of Pula, representatives of the public transport sector, traffic planning, representatives of counties and other interested participants. The participants were presented with the project, the methodology of the SUMBooST2 tool, the main results of the project and the experiences gained during the implementation of the project. At the very end of the event, a short discussion was held during which interested participants could ask questions related to the project. For more inormation on project, visit project website.
EIT Urban Mobility aims to accelerate solutions and the transition towards a user-centric, integrated and truly multimodal transport system. As the leading European innovation community for urban mobility, EIT Urban Mobility works to avoid fragmentation by facilitating collaboration between cities, industry, academia, research and innovation to solve the most pressing mobility challenges of cities. Using cities as living labs, its industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.
