On Monday, December 20, 2021, the final outreach event of Sustainable Urban Mobility Boost Smart Toolbox Upgrade (SUMBooST2) project was held in Zagreb at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. Sustainable Urban Mobility Boost Smart Toolbox Upgrade is supported by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. Representatives of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla, City of Rijeka, City of Dubrovnik, City of Zagreb and other interested stakeholders attended the event.
The event began with an introductory speech by the project leader Assoc.Prof. Marko Šoštarić who presented the activities, vision and goals of the project. Representatives of Ericsson Nikola Tesla presented the methodology of SUMBooST2 tool, based on big data which helped identified traffic problems of the project cities. After the identified traffic problems, experts from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences proposed traffic solutions which were presented to the relevant stakeholders of each city through focus groups and to the local population by online survey. Also, the main results and the lessons learnt during the project implementation were presented. At the very end of the event, after the closing statement, a short discussion was held.
