Adaptive modular software defined radio for unmanned vehicles

Adaptive modular software defined radio for unmanned vehicles is a project cooperation between Quantum Bit d.o.o. and Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences from University of Zagreb.

Main goal of the project is to research and develop software defined radio technology in scope of radio spectrum monitoring, controlling state borders, monitoring people’s migrations and other applications.

Current market does not offer any commercial grade product for radio location, based on software defined radio that is suitable for unmanned vehicle operations.

Challenge and main research will be focused onto technical characteristics of the system, and onto technology of signal reception, noise reduction, directional antenna characteristics and accuracy of signal localization.

As a result, new knowledge and skills will be acquired to progress development of new systems and services together with a practical demonstration of a developed system.

The project implementation is divided into two research phases – industrial research and experimental development, and two transversal activities – project management and project visibility.
