MIPRO 2019 – The 42nd International Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics

MIPRO 2019 – The 42nd International Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics Conference is organized by the Croatian Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics Association (MIPRO). The conference was held in Opatija from 20 to 24 May 2019, MIPRO is one of the largest noncommercial ICT conference in the region, in over five days of meeting, more than a thousand participants gathered. Through 14 sections 350 papers were accepted from 34 countries and 11 invited lectures were presented. In addition to consulting, the program contained 5 plenary lectures, 4 workshops, 6 roundtables, 3 seminars, 2 guest events, company presentations and exhibitions.

Member of the Department for Intelligent Transport Systems, Leo Tišljarić, mag.ing.traff. (L. Tišljarić, T. Carić, T. Erdelić, M. Erdelić) presented his paper on the SSRCI section – Smart, Sustainable and Resilient Cities and Infrastructures entitled Traffic State Estimation Using Speed Profiles and Convolutional Neural Networks.

He also participated in the WS5 – GPU programming and application workshop. The workshop was led by Professor Zoltán Juhász (University of Pannonia, Veszprem, Hungary). The workshop provides a detailed overview of GPU-based computer technology and provided a practical part about GPU programming capabilities in areas where graphics processors show the greatest potential for future applications.
