Since the foundation of the Department of Intelligent Transport Systems the great success in work of its employees was achieved through the following:
- Establishment of ITS and logistics in scientific field of Traffic and transport technology
- Establishment of first undergraduate and graduate programs of ITS in Europe (coordinated with Bologna process)
- Release of university textbook: Intelligent Transport Systems I
- Establishment of ITS laboratory where the equipment for traffic surveillance and analysis is installed
- Organization of several scientific conferences (CETS, ITS forum, etc.)
- Invitation to several lectures abroad
- Foundation of the ITS Croatia Association – member of the European network of ITS associations
All members of the Department of Intelligent Transport Systems are active members of ITS Croatia Association (www.its-croatia.hr). The association operates since the October 2005. with the association president prof. Sadko Mandžuka, Ph.D.
