Workshop held for the project In-depth Analysis of Driver Behavior for the Purpose of Defining Usage-Based Insurance Policies.

On April 24, 2023, in Room D1 of Building 69 at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, the final workshop of the project In-depth Analysis of Driver Behavior for the Purpose of Defining Usage-Based Insurance Policies was held. The project was funded through the support program for research conducted by senior teaching assistants employed at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. The project leader is Martina Erdelić, PhD. from the Department of Intelligent Transport Systems. The main research question addressed by the project was: “How can usage-based insurance policies be defined using in-depth data analysis methods?” The project brought together collaborators from various domestic and international institutions. Its objectives included conducting scientific activities, strengthening institutional capacities, and publishing scientific papers.

The workshop served as an opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences, and best practices on the following topics:

  • Usage-Based Insurance Policies, Martina Erdelić (FPZ)
  • Data Collection Using a Driving Simulator, Domink Knez / Tomislav Erdelić (FPZ)
  • Driving Style Recognition Using Basic Classifiers, Nikolina Lovrić (FPZ)
  • Correlation of Behavioral Parameters in Driver Risk Assessment, Martina Erdelić (FPZ)
  • Safer Roads through Telematics and Insurance, Ana Puljčan and Danica Bandur (Cambridge Mobile Telematics)
  • Development of a Web Application for Behavioral Pattern Visualization, Ivan Žura (FPZ)
