The 60th International Symposium Electronics in Marine (ELMAR-2018), the oldest conference in Europe, will traditionally be held in the beautiful old town Zadar on the Croatian Adriatic coast. The conference will include a special session on Intelligent Transport Systems held by Associate Professor Sadko Mandžuka, PhD (smandzuka@fpz.hr) and Assistant Professor Mario Muštra, PhD (mmustra@fpz.hr). Some of the goals in ITS, which need to be achieved and serve as general topics for this special session, are:
- Development road infrastructure for ITS application
- Integration of vehicle navigation and communication systems
- Usage of smart routing algorithms
- Improving efficiency of logistic services
- Cooperative systems for Smart Cities
- Design and implementation of sensors and sensor networks
