Island Mali Lošinj hosted a workshop for training teachers at Military Engineering and Military Leadership and Management studies. Workshop took place at military base Kovčanje from 10th to 13th September 2015. Teachers exchanged their experiences gathered during last two years of lecturing at those studies at Croatian Defense Academy (HVU). Study holders were Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. On invitation from HVU general Slavko Barić representative of Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences came to consider implementation of master study program for military pilots at Department of Aeronautics. Department head prof. dr. sc. Doris Novak held presentation on subject: Development of Master Studies Program for Education of Military Pilots, during which he emphasized that this model of study programme was accredited by Ministry of Science, Education and Sports in 2007. He also emphasized that the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences has been educating military pilots for Croatian Air Force since 1992 (from 2007 in accordance to Bologna model) and presented working experiences and benefits of this model of education. From next academic year (2015/2016) Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia (MORH) will reactivate Master Studies for military pilots. By doing that they will continue long lasting tradition and increase capacity in training of highly specialized officers of armed forces of the Republic of Croatia.
