EASA at HUSK

On June 12th 2019, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) conducted a standardization inspection at Croatian Air Traffic Control Training Centre (HUSK) within Division of Aeronautics, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. The inspection was done as a part of the oversight of Croatian Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA). EASA inspectors were checking if HUSK, an air traffic controller training organisation, is compliant with the requirements of EU Regulation 2015/340 of air traffic controller licences and certificates. Moreover, they checked HUSK training plans and programmes, synthetic training devices and instructors’ competences. The standardization inspection was done by two EASA inspectors accompanied by three CCAA inspectors.

HUSK was represented by the Dean, Full Professor Tomislav Josip Mlinarić, who is a HUSK Accountable Manager, Associate Professor Biljana Juričić, HUSK Head of Training, Associate Professor Anita Domitrović, HUSK Quality and Safety Manager and assistant lecturer Bruno Antulov-Fantulin.

The inspection has shown that HUSK is fully compliant with air traffic controller training requirements, applying high standards of safety and quality of training. No nonconformity  with the requirements of EU Regulation 2015/340 of air traffic controller licences and certificates has been found.
