Department of Aeronautics (ZAN) of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences participated at the ESCAPE Lıght for Academia and R&D Workshop from 27th till 30th January 2020 organised by EUROCONTROL Experimental Centre at Brétigny-sur-Orge near Paris. The workshop was organised as a training for current and future users of the ESCAPE Light air traffic control simulator that will be used for training and research activities. This simulator enables the most of the important and sophisticated features necessary to provide air traffic control.
The Faculty was represented by Associate Professor Biljana Juričić, Assistant Professors Karolina Krajček Nikolić and Tomislav Radišić and teaching assistants Petar Andraši and Tea Rogošić. The Faculty team had an opportunity to learn about the simulator hardware and software components and simulator structure. During this year, at least two more workshops for airspace design and data preparation are to be held.
