As a partner in the Horizon Europe CSA project AeroSTREAM, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences organized a series of training sessions held on October 7 and 10 at the University Campus Borongaj in Zagreb. The program included Innovation training and Research training sessions led by experts from renowned European institutions.
Innovation training sessions were divided into Spin-off Creation and Horizon Europe Project Management in a Nutshell sessions. The first session dealt with the process of establishing spin-off companies, intellectual property protection, funding strategies, and overcoming entrepreneurial challenges. Session participants were instructed on how to turn innovative ideas into successful business ventures. The second session focused on managing projects funded by the Horizon Europe program and highlighted best practices, strategies for maximizing impact, and efficient resource management aligned with EU goals.
In the Multi-Sensor Multi-Object Tracking System research training session, the participants were taught how to use a system for tracking multiple objects through data fusion from various sensors, applying the Kalman filter in a ROS2 environment. This workshop was aimed at those wanting practical experience in developing object tracking systems.
This session was followed by another reasearch training session titled Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) Localization which covered the basic principles of UWB technology and its application in UAV systems and included a practical demonstration of localization algorithms in Jupyter Notebook.
All training sessions provided opportunities to acquire valuable knowledge, share experiences, and network with colleagues and experts in the field!
