On October 1, 2024, Professor Tino Bucak concluded his accomplished career, transitioning into a well-deserved retirement after 40 years of service, including more than 30 years at our Faculty. Professor Bucak has been a cornerstone of the Department of Aeronautics, having joined shortly after its establishment. Throughout his career, he significantly contributed to educating generations of civil and military pilots and air traffic controllers.
Professor Bucak authored the university textbook Aircraft Instruments, the guide Aircraft Electrical Systems, and co-authored the Collection of Solved Problems and Examples in Aircraft Electrical Systems. He served as the Chair of Avionics and Navigation and was instrumental in founding the Laboratory for Aircraft Emissions. During his career he led and participated in numerous national and international projects, published extensively on aircraft noise, and played a central role in organizing many international scientific conferences.
