Chapter in a book is follow-up of the research in field that is presented in paper that received Rector's award of University of Zagreb in 2016.

It is a part of results gained through project System of automatic identification and informing of mobile entities in the traffic environment, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, 2016.

The main idea of this paper is an overview of the smart wristband system architecture that provides real-time information to users in traffic environment. Users in traffic environment are persons with visual impairment, hearing impairment, and locomotor impairment, elderly, children, and persons without disabilities. The purpose of paper is conceptual development of the system for providing accurate and real-time information to the users and raising the level of quality of life for this groups of users. Previous research and solutions provide information on user needs and requirements. Conducted research define funcionalities of the system based on Cloud Computing for the Blind concept and that provides 24/7 support for the delivery of services and users' security. Architecture of the service is designed according to universal design and Ambient Assisted Living concept. Simulation environment was established on the Arduino and Raspberry Pi platform that simulated work of the proposal system concept in laboratory and real environment enabling experimentation with real-time delivery of information to the users. By providing information also to these categories of users in real time, level of independence and safety of traffic network will increase.
