At the EAI FABULOUS 2024 conference, 35 participants from various parts of Europe attended and a keynote speech was delivered by Prof. Piotr A. Kowalski.
The topic of the speech was "Why Explainable Artificial Intelligence is Indispensable in Neural Network Tools?". Prof. Piotr A. Kowalski is a Professor at the AGH University of Krakow. He works at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Computer Science, as well as at the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the Polish Information Processing Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, particularly the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He serves as an editor and a member of the editorial board for several scientific journals, and he is a member of the scientific committee for numerous prestigious scientific conferences. He is also a member of the Discipline Council for Information and Communication Technology at AGH and the Scientific Council of NASK PIB. Furthermore, he is a reviewer of numerous academic nominations (PhD, DSc), research grants, and scientific articles, providing his expertise in assessing scientific achievements in various fields.
The Department of Information and Communication Traffic of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences participated in the conference. They were part of the Technical and Organization Committee of the conference, and some members also participated as authors of scientific papers at the conference.
The EAI FABULOUS 2024 conference aimed to promote collaboration and innovation among researchers in the fields of smart environments, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and critical infrastructure through new scientific papers.
