7th EAI International Conference on Future Access Enablers of Ubiquitous and Intelligent Infrastructures – FABULOUS 2023 will be held from 10-11th May 2023, Zagreb, Croatia. The conference is organized under the umbrella of the European Alliance for Innovation - EAI, Gent, Belgium in co-organization with the Department of Information and Communication Traffic of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences.

A Special Issue of the international scientific journal Symmetry entitled: Recent Advances on Deep Learning for Safety and Security of Multimedia Data in the Critical Infrastructure Ⅱ by MDPI is open for paper submission.
This Special Issue mainly focuses on deep learning for the safety and security of multimedia data in critical infrastructure, addressing both original algorithmic development and new applications.
The guest editors of the Special Issue are the head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Dragan Peraković, Prof. Dr. Brij B. The paper entitled Concept, architecture and performance testing of a smart home environment for the visually impaired persons by Marko Periša, Ivan Cvitić, Petra Zorić and Ivan Grgurević was awarded the best paper of the EAI MMS 2022 conference - 7th EAI International Conference on Management of Manufacturing Systems which was held from 5 to 7 October 2022 in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland.
