On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the closing event of the Croatian Quantum Communication Infrastructure - CroQCI project was held at the National and University Library. This project is one of the key national projects in the field of secure communication and the development of quantum technologies in Croatia. The event presented the project's most important results, ranging from the development of the conceptual solution and the establishment of an experimental network for quantum communication to devices for secure communication.
This is a field that will become increasingly important in the coming years for protecting critical infrastructure, and that is precisely why we are especially pleased that staff members of the Department of Information and Communication Traffic presented their contribution across three segments of the program.
06. 03. 2026.
On 24 February 2026, the first QuGNOPs project kick-off meeting was held at DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen, bringing together German and Croatian partners and marking the official start of the project.
The German consortium includes representatives from DLR GfR mbH and FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. The Croatian partners are the FER (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb), Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (FPZ, University of Zagreb), CARNET - Croatian Academic and Research Network, and the Ruđer Bošković Institute (IRB).
